The theme for International Day of Older Persons this year is ‘Take a stand against ageism’.
We live in a world where people are denied their rights, simply because of their age. This must change!
Age Demands Action campaigners across the world are taking a stand by highlighting how widespread ageism is and how it leads to the discrimination, stereotyping and abuse of older people everywhere.

The Albanian neglect of age continues! This situation shame our society.
Empowering older persons is the most effective tool in the response to Ageism.
First: Seniors are persons. Second: We will be old people someday.
Ageism is humiliating and damaging to older men and women's participation in society.
On my old age I will not be able to tolerate ageism attitude to me, so why shouldn't I stop this negative attitude now and try to eliminate permanently !
My age does not tell you who I am. I want to stand up to ageism because I want to be seen as a person, not an individual defined by the date on my birth cert.
