It’s time to take a new look at the older generation. They are the ones who brought you the internet, started the climate movement, secured Independence. They ended apartheid. They revolutionized women’s rights. They have raised children, grandchildren, villages and voices. And they’re not done yet.

 

This International Day of Older Persons, HelpAge International launches #OlderNotOver, a three-year campaign to revolutionise how the older generation is seen and treated.

 

#OlderNotOver will show what life looks like in all its glory, whether you’re an older person in America or Zimbabwe. Championing a fuller, more authentic portrayal of older age, #OlderNotOver will call for an end to the ageing penalties all of us face simply by growing older.
