Head of Advocacy and Evidencing

HelpAge International is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Advocacy & Evidencing to lead our global advocacy, policy, and research agenda. This senior leadership role is central to strengthening HelpAge’s influence and positioning on issues of ageing, rights, and inclusive development, working closely with older people’s organisations, network members, and global partners, the successful candidate will champion an inclusive, evidence-based approach to advocacy. The role focuses on driving systemic change by integrating the lived experiences of older people into policy and programme development at national and global levels.

The ideal candidate should possess a degree in International Development, Human Rights, or a related field is required; a postgraduate qualification is an asset, extensive experience in global advocacy, policy influencing, and research, particularly in development, humanitarian, or human rights sectors, strong commitment to rights-based and inclusive approaches, with practical knowledge of age, gender, disability, and displacement issues, a track record of working in or with civil society and communities in the Global South and ability to translate evidence into compelling advocacy outputs that influence policy and practice.
