HelpAge has over 20 years' experience of working with and for older people in emergencies. We work to ensure that older people are included in immediate and long-term humanitarian relief efforts on the ground, and in humanitarian policies and guidelines. We have assisted in emergencies such as the 2005 tsunami, the Haiti earthquake, Cyclone Nargis, Typhoon Ketsana and the 2010 Pakistan floods. We are also work on long-term emergencies such as DR Congo and Darfur.
