Blog Action Day is a free event for bloggers, social media users, vloggers, podcasters, designers, infographic and data producers.

It’s a great chance to bring thousands of people together from all countries and backgrounds who are talking in different languages and from different view points. The main thing is that everyone can take part!

Each Blog Action Day there is one important global topic that has been chosen through suggestions from an online poll that bloggers focus on to help raise awareness and money for charities and social causes.

The Power of We

This year Blog Action Day will take place on 15 October and the theme is “The Power of We”.

Many people’s suggestions in the online poll were around the theme of equality, community and togetherness so the theme is a celebration of people working together to make a positive difference in the world.

This is particularly relevant to us, as our Age Demands Action grassroots campaign is taking place on Monday 1 October! This is the power of we at its best, as thousands of older people in over 60 countries lobby their governments to make positive changes to their communities.

Get involved!

You can write about anything relevant to the theme, whether that’s a single person or group who inspires you or a huge global cause that you are part of.

You can even share tips on how to organise group meetings or encourage people to become passionate about a cause that you are an advocate for.

The main thing is to make sure you are registered! You can do so on the Blog Action Day website.

Looking forward to reading all your blogs on 15 October!
