Rosemary Wanja Mwathi My name is Rosemary Wanja 71 years old, lived in satellite west for 35 years. I am married but separated with my husband, 7 kids and several grandchildren, life is difficult now because I have arthritis and my leg fails me sometimes. I earn a living by crocheting and making clothes. My hope for the future is that this pain goes away and gets a job. I don’t sleep well at night because of my bodies condition. I also got used to not sleeping from when I was a young girl. I stay up listening to the radio and praying at night. I wake up in the morning for house chores and crocheting, the doctor advised that I take regular walks in the morning. My life changed when I got married and got kids, I had to adjust and sacrifice for my kid’s wellbeing. I did not face any penalties as a woman because I was a tough lady when I used to work as truck driver. life is difficult now because of illnesses and general body weakness. before I had the energy to work and take care of myself and the family. I admire my fellow 96-year-old woman in church because she is strong and prayerful in her old age. my proudest achievement is staying in church and regularly fellowshipping in church. My advice is that young people should stay focused and contented. respect the elderly. I know how to cook and I am an excellent tailor. my family and friends describe me as accommodative, a listener and a leader.
