We are currently seeking a Head of Global Technical Unit (GTU) to join our leadership team and provide strategic direction to our technical work around the world.
The Head of GTU is a unique opportunity to head up a newly formed team focusing on our thematic work on income, health and care and violence and abuse.
Reporting to the Director of Global Impact the job holder will manage 9 technical advisors with a wide range of development and humanitarian experience working on ageing and older people.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience expected
As the ideal candidate, you will have substantial experience of international development and/or humanitarian work, including at field level.
It is important that you have excellent ability to lead, inspire and manage a diverse team, and supporting teams working remotely. You will be able to demonstrate strong influencing, analytical and communication skills required for the role.
