Campaigns Volunteer

Based in London (Flexible hours /occasional home working)

Length of Volunteer Placement - 3-4 months

HelpAge International helps older people claim their rights, challenge discrimination and overcome poverty, so that they can lead dignified, secure, active and healthy lives. Our work in over 75 countries is strengthened through our global network of like-minded organisations - the only one of its kind in the world. This volunteer role will be a great learning opportunity to work with many stakeholders across the world and get direct experience collecting and editing campaign material for our webpage, report and campaign newsletter.

Your responsibilities will include gathering regular updates from participating countries on their activities, summarise and distributing regular updates to participants and HelpAge staff. The volunteer will collate and organise campaign material received from campaign partners, edit and write campaigning documents and collect, produce and proofread campaign material. The volunteer will also collect and maintain photos for the photo library.

The volunteer will have experience in social media and online engagement. It would also be essential to have excellent communication skills, interest in international development and strong attention to detail. The volunteer should have proficiency in Word, Excel and familiarity with Outlook.
