Eastern Europe and Central Asia

We strive to improve older people's lives across Eastern Europe and Central Asia by helping them overcome poverty, giving them access to health and care and advocating governments for better pensions.

We make sure older people's needs are met in emergencies, especially during the region's extremely cold winters.

Where we work in Eastern Europe and Central Asia

We have three HelpAge International offices working across the region, and we also reach out to older people through organisations in the HelpAge global network. 

Kyrgyzstan

Across Kyrgyztan we help older people secure better incomes, access treatment for non-communicable diseases like diabetes, and advocate on older people's rights.
