Age demands action in Myanmar



A delegation will meet with the Vice-President of Myanmar and members of the National Committee on Aging in Nay Pyi Taw to demand the finalisation and approval of the National Plan of Action on Aging; Provision of Social pension and specific Ageing policy/laws.

Older People across the country will also celebrate the International Day for Older Persons in their villages in various events including meditation events, community fetes, and voluntary activities carried out by the younger generations to pay respect to their elders as is traditional in Myanmar culture.
