We wanted to share with you this wonderful picture of Haitian choreographer and dance teacher, Viviane Gauthier that was taken on Friday.

The elegant 92-year-old icon took part in our Age Demands Action activities by leading the way in a 700-strong march in Haiti on Friday, 1 October, the UN International Day of Older People.

Viviane was kind enough to help us record a special episode of our radio show "Koze Granmoun Pawòl Timoun" ("older people speak") which was broadcast on Friday on Réseau Etoile, a radio network of eight regional stations that cover the entire country.

At 92, Viviane is an inspirational example of the power and influence of older people and she beautifully encapsulates our core philosophy of how much older people contribute to society.

Thank you Viviane!

If you believe older people make a valuable contribution and deserve not to be discriminated against, you can support them by signing HelpAge's global petition.
