Hoot for peace

Monday, June 15th, 2009

Throughout our programmes around the world we have seen older people demanding thier rights and campaigning on issues ranging from access to pensions to better healthcare. Last year, older people from 36 countries took part in our global campaign Age Demands Action which culminated in them meeting with thier governments on 1 October.

Here’s another example of how older people are campaigning not just for themselves but for all of us! Below is 90 year old Louise from Bristol campaigning for peace in the middle east. Support her if you are in Bristol by hooting for peace when you drive by. Support older people by signing our global petition calling on politicians to actively include older people in plans to improve the health, wellbeing and security of society across the world.
