Kenyans march for Age Demands Action in 2010In Kenya, the voices of older people will be heard on Wednesday 28 September 2011 in preparation for 1 October, the UN International Day of Older Persons.

A procession of over 300 older people, representing the 1.8 million older Kenyans, will converge at City Hall in Nairobi, Kenya' capital, to march together and raise awareness of older people's rights.

As the march is happening, two delegations of Age Demands Action campaigners will present petitions to the Ministries of Finance and Justice.

The petitions highlight important issues such as rights, justice and a lack of income security. It's crucial that these issues are addressed so that older people can make a positive change to their lives.

Remember to sign the Age Demands Action global petition and keep checking out the Age Demands Action web pages for all the latest updates.
