Older people have a right to earn a livelihood through decent work. That means full and productive work carried out in conditions of freedom, equality and security.

HelpAge is working with older people to help them secure this right.

What is decent work?

The right to decent work was recognised by more than 150 countries at the United Nations World Summit in 2005.

It is essential for sustainable development, especially in the current economic environment.
