As part of Age Demands Action 2007, we produced a series of briefings on the situation of older people in Bangladesh, Latin America, Moldova, Serbia, Slovenia, Uganda and Vietnam.
These briefings had a particular focus on the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing (MIPAA). MIPAA is an international agreement signed by over 159 UN member states in 2002. It offers a new agenda for handling the issue of ageing in the 21st century.
A summary of last year's campaign was also produced.

Older People's Voices: Age Demands Action in Moldova. Issue 8, February 2008. This issue of Older People's Voices provides information about "Realising Older People's Rights" - a two year project which is aimed at promoting and defending the rights of older people. This project is being undertaken by HelpAge International and its partners in South East Europe and is being pioneered in Moldova.
