The Vietnamese government made commitments to:
Over 2,000 older people gathered together to watch and take part in a series of performances including singing, dancing and poetry readings. There was also a walk to highlight the roles and contributions of older people in Vietnam.

The meetings will focus on including older women in key government policies in Vietnam. Specific asks are yet to be finalised but are likely to include a call for the government to include gender-related issues in the final draft of the Law of the Elderly before it is submitted to parliament.
