HelpAge Ghana will be taking part in the Age Demands Action campaign for the first time this year.
HelpAge Ghana has travelled across the country to engage with older people and draw together a delegation to represent older people’s concerns.
This delegation will meet with the head of state, President John Kufour, on 1 October.
Approve the reviewed National Policy on Ageing.
Amend the curriculum for medical schools to include elements in healthcare related to older persons.
Reform the pension system to include protection for those employed in the informal sector.
Older people around the country will also talk about the issues affecting them through a series of video testimonials. These will be available on the our website shortly.
