The Association for Psychosocial Help and Development of Voluntary Work (OSMIJEH), our partners working in Bosnia and Herzegovina, are taking part in the Age Demands Action campaign for the first time this year.
What's planned for 2008?
A delegation of ten older people will meet with government officials to put forward a list of policy asks.
The delegation will ask that the government makes a commitment to:
- Ensure that local government prioritises the social inclusion of older people, and reflect this in their annual budgets.
- Include older people in government planning and decision-making.
- Give older people a guaranteed income by providing them with a comprehensive social pension scheme.
