HelpAge International's publication, Older people in disasters and humanitarian crises: Guidelines for best practice, provides guidelines to help non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to meet the special needs of older people in emergencies.
How you can help
To support HelpAge International's emergency work you can make a donation direct to HelpAge International or through the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).
The DEC is an umbrella organisation that launches and coordinates the UK's national appeal in response to major disasters overseas. Our partner organisation, Help the Aged, is one of its members.
